Our Song

"Uhh..."

submission: Our Song

This is honestly the best dance song I've heard in my life. The piano was really good, and all of the other instruments fit in really well. If I could give you any higher thaan a ten, I would.

Can I get the sheet music for this? whitemageyak@gmail.com

Nocturne no4 Andantino amoroso

"Wonderful"

date: February 22, 2008

This is probably my favorite of your Nocturnes. I liked the melody a lot, and it's one of the songs I play every time I open iTunes. Can I get the sheet music, if it's not too much trouble? whitemageyak@gmail.com

If I'm supossed to give you an award only I can give you, I award you with the "Officail FreelancerFinale Award for Amazing Composition and Skill" award.

"Wow."

I will give my sister twenty dollars if you submit something here that I wouldn't rate a nine or higher. This is seriously on of your best-sounding songs, and I liked the sea (and I think I might have heard a bird call, or is m mind going loopy?) I love the cheer and warmth of it all! Great job!

Author's Response:

hmm, maybe I should submit something called "FreelancerFinale now owes sister 20 bucks!" and make it a series of random blips and bleeps :D!

But i'd not want to cost ya 20 bucks ;). You are right to say you heard sea gulls, they are in the background too. Can't have an ocean without em!

Thank you kindly for the review FF, i'm glad you liked it!

"Really nice"

This is great, nice job and all that. It bears a remarkable resemblance to Paul Hovka's "The Ridge," though. Just thought to point that out.

"Yes!"

This is a great one!

The drums are really nice, as is the chanting near the beginning. The whole thing just sounds very professional. I look forward to the Authority of Darkness with a thundering heart..

Author's Response:

That song is coming along, albeit a little slowly :(. I hope before February is up...

I'm glad you liked the song FreelancerFinale. The drums are oddly still one of my more interesting takes on percussion. I havn't done much like it ever since.

Thanks for the review, once again i'm glad you liked it :D!

It sounds pretty nice, SBB. I really like the piano, it fits nicely.

When is there ever a need for logic in ambeint songs?

February 1, 2008

Author's Response:

There IS a need for the program logic in some ambient songs, yes :) And of course you need common sense and logic while making stuff, or you'd end up with some strange experimental gabber-ambience hybrid. It won't work very well, in most cases-

_-=[The Maestro's Requiem]=-_

"Wow..."

date: January 29, 2008

Well, MaestroSorrow, dude... this is a great ending! I love the energy of the entire song and its been on my iPod since I downloaded it last year. The whole thing reminds me of an epic battle or something taking place at a going-away ceremony. Quite an odd picture, if you ask me. I really liked all your work, and I hope you enjoy your time doing whatever it is retired musicians do. (Though I don't expect you to read this, Maestro.)
